After three years of full commitment to SNA Europe, Bertil Engman takes his well deserved retirement at the end of the year. Bertil Engman has been a very active contributor in the improvements that SNA Europe has been going through during these years, and he will be remembered as a leader for both his professionalism and personality.
Bertil Engman joined SNA Europe three years ago as Vice President Business Area Saws, bringing with him a tremendous experience of general management in industrial companies, as well as a fantastic understanding of human relationships.
Over these three years, Bertil Engman managed successfully the key challenges encountered in the company, including a large restructuring process and changes of manufacturing locations. He consolidated the management of the Saw factories and launched several initiatives that turned out to become corporate projects strengthening further SNA Europe's leadership in metal cutting. Bertil Engman contributed significantly to the integration of the various teams in SNA Europe, making it possible to implement the present organization structure.
During the last year Bertil Engman implemented and supported the organization of the new Supply Chain Division, facing the new challenges and concentrating on the new concept aiming on developing efficient end-to-end flows throughout the company. Bertil Engman also invested his time and energy to coach his colleagues, to actively develop the newly appointed leaders and to advise me the top management.
Bertil Engman's mission at SNA Europe has been successfully accomplished, and he retires at the end of the year 2008. SNA Europe wishes to express recognition and gratitude to Bertil Engman for his extraordinary contribution to the company over these last three years.
